Flow Meters

Flow meters can be divided in groups in many ways but one of the most used is to divide them to flow meters with moving parts and flow meters with-no-moving parts. The first typically has a lower cost, the second typically has a higher reliability, accuracy and larger turn down.

Some of the most popular ''moving parts'' flow meters are: paddle-wheel, impeller, propeller and turbine.
Some of the most popular ''no-moving-parts'' flow meters are: differential pressure, magmeters and ultra sonic.

Flow Computers / Totalizers for Liquids

These flow computers / totalizers measure volume flow rate and total of liquids. If the liquid can expand or shrink significantly in the operating temperature range then a temperature compensation of the volume is needed. Some of our flow computers / totalizers with temperature compensation work with gasoline and diesel or liquids that can be considered not shrinking in the operating temperature range. Our higher grade flow computers / totalizers work with any liquid and measure volume, compensated volume and mass. They also have preset lists of liquids and temperature transmitters for easier programming.

Our flow computers / totalizers with MODBUS communication have a fully compliant, fully programmable communication port, represent 1/8 standard RS485 load which allows up to 247 devices to be connected to the same two wires network. A remote master on the same wires or far away connected through a radio link can read flow rate and total many times a second, can start and stop a batch session, clear the total and perform many other useful automated tasks.

SCADA devices and systems 

SCADA stands for Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition. A complete SCADA system includes sensors, communication equipment, controllers, human-machine interfaces, software and hardware. A SCADA can be very complex and have many levels in its architecture. It can also be more centralized or allow more functions and flexibility to its lower levels.

Designs and manufactures modules for collecting data that can be an important part of a SCADA system. These modules are the link between the sensors and the upper level of the SCADA system. They measure the signal of local sensors, condition and filter the signals, and communicate with the upper level in behalf of all sensors attached. This way those SCADA devices save the processing time of the upper level, save communication hardware and time.

Temperature Transmitters                 

Designs and manufactures a range of temperature transmitters with high accuracy and reliability. They are two wire loop power 4-20 mA with reverse polarity and surge protection, have very small size and can be mounted in the head of the temperature sensor or on a 35 mm DIN rail. Part of them are with fixed parameters but others are field programmable. At any time they can be reprogrammed in seconds without disconnecting.

Our RTD transmitters condition and linearize with very high accuracy the curve of the sensor, detect possible bad or broken connection or sensor failure and go to a failsafe output. They also compensate for the resistance of the wires (when used in 3 wire connections to the sensor). Their small size and weight and low profile allow to be easily mounted in any standard RTD housing head or on a DIN rail.
Our field programmable transmitters allow their output to be shifted, scaled and/or inverted, their failsafe output changed in seconds on the field without disconnecting.

Our thermocouples transmitters condition and linearize with very high accuracy the curve of the thermocouple, detect possible broken connection or thermocouple and go to a programmable failsafe output. The thermocouple type, the cold junction compensation, the linearization and the output can be re-programmed at any time on the field without disconnecting. Their output can be shifted, scaled and/or inverted in seconds on the field without disconnecting.

Remote Displays 

Designs and manufactures a range of remote displays with very high accuracy, many features and field programmability. They can be reprogrammed in seconds on the field to accept different input signal, to offset or span the display reading or to produce a different output. They all have a RS232 MODBUS RTU communication port which can be connected (through a RS232-RS485 converter) to a network and provide both accurate information for the input signal to the remote master and a local accurate reading in engineering units.

Power Supplies 

Power supplies have transients protection and filtering on their inputs and overload, short circuit protection and filtering on their outputs. They work in a large input voltage and frequency range and provide clean and reliable power.

Sensors 

Sensors provide information about some electrical or non-electrical parameter to a local display, a transmitter, personal computer, PLC or higher level centralized computer system.

Higher level devices or systems will rely its quality, accuracy and reliability on those of the sensor.

A system is as accurate and as reliable as its sensors, at its best.

Other Devices 

Pulse Converter GPC10K
GPC10K can not only divide pulses but it can also multiply them. So the frequency at the output can be higher or lower than the input. The input is universal and can power the sensor while the output is high frequency isolated open drain. LCD display makes it very easy to enter the exact ratio between the input and the output in seconds. The ratio is stored in a non-volatile memory but can be changed at any time. In normal mode GPC10K shows accurately the input frequency with a very stable reading. It can be a very useful device when matching a high frequency turbine flow meter to a low frequency PLC input. It can also scale the pulse output of a flow computer or other pulse devices.
Pulse Totalizer GPT36
GPT36 is a micro power pulse totalizer with universal input. It has an input for a fast remote reset. When the input terminals are shorted it immediately clears the total number of pulses and starts totalizing again until the remote input opens.
Stop Watch GSW43
GSW43 is a micro power stop watch that can be used for precise time measurements. It has an input for a fast remote start/stop. If enabled it immediately clears the time and starts measuring until the remote input disables it.
